Free Spirit

During summertime I loooove flowy dresses, kaftans or kimonos so for me it was a no-brainer to get this lovely "coat" thingy from H&M. They had it in lilac leopard print or neon yellow...hard decision. I can already tell that this one will accompany me throughout this summer. I just love hippie chic for summers which is kind of a departure from my fall/winter monochromatic style. Anyways, landed in Vienna and have the pleasure of spending 2 lovely days with my bestie Nina before I'll attend a big bday bash on Saturday. Sunday will be dedicated to chilling and "recovering" from partying 2 nights a row (u know, I am gettin old haha) and on Monday I'll be back in Germany. And in between all that my internship interview. Lots of stuff happening these days....

Im Sommer liebe ich weite Flatterkleider, Kaftans und Kimonos, daher war es auch gleich klar dass ich mir dieses lila Teil von H&M kaufen musste. Es gab den Kimono auch noch in Neon Geld was die Entscheidung nicht leichter machte, die 25% von H&M allerdings schon :-) Jedenfalls weiß ich schon jetzt dass dieser mich diesen Sommer überallhin begleiten wird! Generell bin ich bei warmen Temperaturen farbenfroher gestimmt und lege mehr einen Hippie chic an den Tag, abseits meines allwinterlichen monochromatischen, meist schwarzen Kleidungsstil. Wie auch immer, gestern in Wien gelandet, die nächsten 2 tage verbringe ich mit der Besten bevor es Samstags zu einer großen Geburtstagsparty von 2 engen Freunden geht. Ich bin schon richtig aufgeregt. Sonntags ist dann der Regenerierung gewidmet da ich ja schließlich Freitag und Samstag am feiern bin und auch nicht mehr jünger werde haha Montags gehts dann wieder nach Deutschland. Ach ja, zwischen alledem hab ich natürlich auch mein Jobinterview. Ich bin gespannt. Jedenfalls wird mir in den nächsten Tagen bestimmt nicht langweilig....

Graduation

I actually think I never really posted pics from my Bachelor's graduation. It definitely was one of the best days in my life! My mum took these pics. Unfortunately she had no idea how to handle my camera so most pictures she took that day looked blurry!

VFW 2011

While "cleaning" my hard drive I stumbled across some pictures from Vienna Fashionweek 2 years ago. They were shot by an old friend with her phone hence the lack of quality. Anyways, I love this outfit and I think I might recycle this one as soon as the weather allows for a no-tights look :-)

Ich bin gerade dabei meine Festplatte zu "säubern" und bin auf diese Fotos von der Vienna Fashion Week von vor 2 Jahren gestoßen. Die Fotos hat eine ehemalige Freundin mit ihrem Handy gemacht daher die eher bescheidene Qualität. Wie auch immer, ich mag das Outfit sehr gern und werde es diesen Frühling bestimmt recyclen sobald es das Wetter zulässt dass man sich draußen auch ohne Strumpfhosen bewegen kann :-)

Like Columbo

So you know, from time to time me and my bestie Nina get all sorts of crazy ideas. And so it happened last Friday that while slendering through the city, we thought "How fierce would it be to smoke a real cigarre before going out tonight?!" Said, and done. So we walked into the next cigarette shop and pretended to buy the cigarre as a present. We ended up with a cuban one and neither one of us really knew how to smoke that thing. But we figured it can't be too hard a thing to do since our favourite Detective - Columbo - always makes it seam so cool and easy :-D So we took all sorts of pics with the cigarre, we even shot a video where each one of us dances and tries to be cool while smoking that thing and we also took it with us to the clubs. Just imagine the - mostly male - faces seeing to dolled up girls smoking a cigarre :D That alone was so worth it! Though I definitely don't have to do it soon again haha....I work better as a non-smoker haha

Von Zeit zu Zeit haben meine Beste Nina und ich ziemlich dumme - oder eher lustige - Einfälle. So kam es dass wir uns letzten Freitag beim Spaziergang dachten es wäre doch cool mal eine Zigarre zu rauchen so wie der Fernsehdedektiv Columbo. Gesagt, getan. Wir behaupteten also im Zigarrenladen eine Zigarre als Geschenk für jemand anderen zu kaufen und endeten mit einer kubanischen. Eigentlich hatten ja weder ich noch Nina eine Ahnung wie man so ein Ding eigentlich raucht aber soooo schwer wars dann auch nicht :-D Jedenfalls haben wir vor dem fortgehen schon einige Poserfotos mit dem Ding gemacht und sogar ein Video gedreht. In den Club haben wir sie dann auch mitgenommen. Ihr hättet mal die Gesichter der Männer sehen sollen wenn 2 aufgedonnerte Mädels ne Zigarre rauchen. Herrlich! Wars auf alle Fälle wert, wobei ich das Ganze nicht so schnell wiederholen muss da ich dann doch lieber beim nicht-rauchen bleibe :-D

Nostalgia Part 2

The gist of these pics kinda is....I miss my ombre hair! I think it looks perfect for summer...oh boy, if only it didn't ruin my hair completely. I would go back to this caramel color in a heatbeat!

Die Pointe dieses Posts...ich vermisse meine Ombre Haare! Im Sommer passen die halt echt genial und mir gefielen sie auch wirklich gut..wenn die Färberei nur meine Haare nicht ruinieren würde! Ich würd sie mir sofort wieder in diesem Karamellton färben!

Own it!

Trying to pose overly dramatic and "feel" it like a Tyra Banks Topmodel would haha

I am so over the moon! These days the weather here treats me so well and today was one of the best days EVER...weather-wise that is! So it was a no-brainer that my roomie Sandy and I went out to ceize the day and take some snapshots in the sun. With spring right around the corner I actually felt like wearing something girly, hence the flower skirt. You see, the sun seems to have an effect on my dressing most definitely. (proof: my baby pink outfit from earlier in the week). Anyways, apparently its supposed to get cold again so I need to soak up as much sun as possible. Sheesh, time passes so quickly. First week of March already over, 2 1/2 more to go until I touch Austrian ground. Yaaayyyy! Now back to business...

Leute ich glaubs nicht. Das Wetter hier im Moment ist echt ein Traum. Es ist zwar immer noch um einiges kälter als bspw. in Wien aber die Sonne scheint ununterbrochen. Einige von euch fragen sich jetzt vielleicht was daran so besonders ist wo der Frühling doch auf dem Weg ist. Jedoch wohne ich in der verregnetsten Stadt Schwedens (Rekord seit ich hier bin: 28 Tage Dauerregen). Umso freuts mich dass ich jetzt endlich wieder ordentliche Fotos bei Sonnenschein schießen kann! Außerdem hab ich das Gefühl die Sonne wirkt sich ein wenig auf meinen Kleidungsstil aus. Das ist das zweite Mal diese Woche dass ich Rosa trage :-D
Trotzdem wirds hier wohl wieder um einiges kühler werden also muss ich vor nächster Woche so viel Sonne tanken wie nur möglich! Die Zeit vergeht ja wie im Flug, die erste Märzwoche schon wieder vorbei. In 20 Tagen berühre ich dann erstmals seit August wieder österreichischen Boden...yaaaayyy!
