The Lady in Black

Dressing in Black makes mornings just so much easier...just pick whatever black garments you have and throw em all together and somehow the magic always works :-D I guess the fact that now that mornings get darker and darker and colder outside does influence my dressing habits aka meaning I just want to get dressed in a heartbeat. And I am definitely not the kinda "I am putting together my outfit the evening before" person! So that's why recently I find myself always grabbing clothes from the black portion of my closet (which is the biggest) and totally neglecting whatever colorful stuff I still have in there because I am just too much of a lazy ass to think about color coordination and stuff like that :) Oh and I have to mention I loooove these new Zara Boots. I needed new ones after I practically worn out my flat shiny ones I bought about a year ago in Sweden at Dinsko...I must have some weird shaped legs because the soles of my shoes tend to wear of in a very one sided manner if you get what I mean...anyways, these ones are super fierce and comfy and stylewise very reminiscent of a pair you can find at ACNE at the moment, but I just couldn't/didn't want to splurge on the real deal so I went with the obvious choice, Zara. I JUST LOVE THESE SHOES!!!!

Ok, now I need to get dressed (in black I suppose) and then head off to work...

Beauty Addict (Haul)

Those who know me, know I am a Beauty junkie. I am obsessed with finding out about new products, reading reviews, learning about product ingredients , skin conditions and generally body related stuff. And whenever I am in Germany I stock up on Beauty stuff because it is so much cheaper than in Austria. So these last days I went to 2 different drug stores (Rossmann & DM) and bought all kinds of stuff though not everything is pictured here. So what did I purchase? Well, I purchased SYOSS Flexible Hold Hairspray. I like them since they come in huuuuge containers, hence I don't have to repurchase too often. Apart from this brand I usually buy L'Oreal Elnett which I find to be the best (apart from its gross smell) but the most expensive! Then I bought an Apres Sun Lotion for the Body which has a tanning effect too. Given the shitty weather I currently have to endure, who knows if I can sustain my tan naturally with the sun being away?! Then, a product I am exstatic about. I always wished we'd have the AUSSIE hair brand in Austria but naaahhh no can do. I came across it in Sweden but it was soooo expensive. Luckily my roommate gave me hers that she got from a finnish Blogger Event. Anyways, they finally arrived - at least in Germany - and aren't even that expensive. So it was a no brainer to get at least a Conditioner (I bought 2 different shampoos for Volume not pictured here from Fructis/Schauma). As you can see I got the Miracle Moist one and I really hope this revives my dead hair ends! I also got the Alverde Hair mask with Avocado which I will use from time to time on my split ends. I really like Alverde since their products are rather "natural". Then I got the Essence Pore refining Serum which I already tried for a week now and I really like it. Plus it prevents my skin from breaking out which is another plus (though I haven't had these issues in months). Then I got all nuts at the P2 counter since this Brand is rather hard to get in Austria. I bought a plain simple Cuticle remover, the "Blogger's choice" nailpolish (LOVE!), a pore minimizer for the T-zone which is to be used directly under foundation and conceals redness and a Lip Serum which is supposed to plump my lips (it doesn't) and make them nice and soft. I also bought a new Catrice concealer in a pot. I love the Palette one, which in my book is just as good as MAC and so I have high hopes for this one. I switched since I never use 4 colors out of the 5 in the palette. Finally pictured here, Razor Blades for my Intuition razor. These were super cheap. Usually I pay way beyond 10€ in Austria and these I got for 6.50€ so I actually bought 2 packages. Not pictured here apart from the Hair shampoos are 2 shower gels, one from Nivea and one from Dove. Gosh, I looove Beauty products. What can't you live without?

New Order: ASOS

So I've been looking all winter to find the perfect coat that keeps me warm when temperatures plummet here in the North. I'd already given up all hope to find a nice, black jacket that looks somewhat cool and sporty when I stumbled across this one on the ASOS sale. And guess what?! It only cost me 25€ instead of 84€!!! Talk about a bargain! And it looks like it is gonna keep me very warm. I also couldn't resist and bought me some sunglasses on Sale from the swedish brand "Cheap Monday". The model is called Telekinesis and is blue. How cool is that?! Once my order arrives I hope the sun will stop playing hide-and-seek and I can finally wear some of the sunglasses I purchased in recent months:

Bright Lights

What you see here is basically the only thing that I picked up in the battle of after xmas sales in Hanover. It was like a war zone! So many people, so rude, such immensly long queues....I just couldn't be bothered. No matter where I went, Primark, Zara (the worst!!), Mango, H&M...they all gave the same picture. Let's put it that way: there were absolutely no signs of an economic crisis going on. So what did I pick up? Most beauty stuff. I managed to spend 140€ on that. I bought some small presents for my roomies (hope they like!) and this dress from Gina Tricot. It was on sale for 10€ and I was drawn to it for the color. It's a neon green-ish yellow. They shoes are from Zara though I ordered them online like 2 weeks ago as I want to wear them for New Year's eve. Along I ordered a studded Jacket which you will see in upcoming outfit posts. I will also make a post about my beauty purchases as I think one or the other might be interesting for you guys and I also want to do reviews since I picked up new things as well.

It's my secret!

Even though I arrived way too late at Copenhagen Airport, I took the time to buy me some small treat at Victoria's secet since I don't really get the chance to shop there very often! I also ended up buying a small bottle of perfume there for my sis, whose bday is today even though she's already way to spoiled. For myself I ended up with a body splash smelling of honeysuckle and jasmine and I am in heaven with this scent. It smells so fresh and clean, like right out the shower on a summer day. I love those scents that do not smell overpowering and this one is just divine. And the fact that 2 other women bought exactly this one in only 5 min that I was in the store says a lot right?! Anyways, time is passing by so quickly and Xmas approaches fast. Today I hope I finish most of my school stuff so that I can find the time making some sugar cookies with frosting together with my siblings. I really enjoy baking stuff when I am with my family. On Saturday I'll be making a red velvet cake with butter frosting for my sisters' bday party. I hope I'll find the time to post some pictures and post them here since the cake is actually not that hard to make but super delicious :-)

Stockholm

Last Friday I spent in Stockholm due to a research project on Fashion Retailing for university and I can assure you guys this is one hell of a pretty city. I fell in love instantly and would move there in a bit if I'd the chance. Though I must admit the fieldtrip itself was extraordinary exhausting. In total it must have been at least 11 hours on the bus and by the time we arrived in Stockholm temperatures dropped below zero and there was a snowstorm going on. But in all honesty I didn't mind the snow one bit as I've been eager for days to experience the first snow this winter and yep...it kind of was a no brainer that I wouldn't encounter the first snow in rainy Boras! The entire city of Stockholm (at least I guess so ha!) was covered in white and the streets were decorated with christmas lights and shop windows looked amazingly inviting. It was just magical. Almost as pretty as in my beloved Vienna! So we spent the day enjoying some amazing food (Vapiano for lunch duh!) and did a little shopping. I came to realize that Urban Outfitters is even more epic than I remembered and I just found an epic present for my girl Nina. I really hope she likes it! All in all it was an exciting day and I can't wait to get back to Stockholm asap. Btw excuse the lack of quality in the photos as these were taken with my phone cam.

Sexy back...

here
Lately I've been obsessing over dresses that have...well, a sexy back haha You know, that are either open or have some sort of jewelry or embellishment in the back. I guess one of the reasons is that I still don't have an outfit for new years eve and this year I want it to be somewhat more spectacular than the last years...you know, the perfect mixture between sexy and sophisticated and somewhat special. But that is harder than imagined since I am usually not the biggest fan of glittery/bright/eye-catching dresses as black and simple is usually my credo when picking partyoutfits...you know, something that I can also wear on other occassions. And even so, my "party"outfits always end up somewhat casual since I like to feel comfy when out dancing. Which might also be the reason why I always find myself in front of the closet lamenting that I don't have anything to wear when picking outfits for a night out. So yeah, for the next weeks I am on a mission to find the perfect partydress. We'll see how successful I'll be. Until then, I can always look at those pictures and dream HA!
What are you going to wear on New Years Eve?

Tiger of Sweden

Well, I like this Sweater....a lot! So why not wearing it again?! :-)

Well well well....the horrendous week is over. All presentations done. All exams written. Parties partied....and Sunday is almost over :-)
What a week u guys. And finally some time again for shooting pictures and goofing around with my girl Sandy! Friday we went out or should I say we had a ton of people at our apartment beforehand. It was a blast. I always love it when u just have people over, hang, talk, make fun and most importantly make plans. That being, me and my girls Natalia and Daphne decided we would visit Russia next year, Natalias homecountry. I've always had a soft spot for Russia, its culture, the people. It's just an amazing country and hey, if you have someone who knows the language and all the "insider" things haha then it makes travelling even easier. I also hope to get to Oslo at the beginning of the next year. I mean it is, after all, just a 4 hour train ride away. So I would be downright stupid not to cease this opportunity. Plus, Norway is a pretty awesome country as well (only downside...you have to pay shizz of money for that awesomeness!). New Years I'll be in Stockholm (with my bestie Nina) and sometime next year I also have to find time to visit my beloved hometown Vienna again. I miss it so much. The food, my friends, the feisty clubs where u don't have to get in line for an hour and most importantly, NOTHING closes before at least 4 or 5 am in the morning. Something I think the Swedes should take knowledge off since we always get kicked out the clubs here when it is most fun!
So in this post I wear my favourite new-ish sweater from Gina Tricot. Since I could a) rather not afford the KENZO Tiger Sweater and b) it is impossible to get a hold of it anyways (unless you want to pay 3 times the original price on EBAY!) ...I was superthrilled when I found this one for aroung 28€! It is fake-worn off with little holes etc. but that gives it that extra bit of personality if you ask me. Plus, it is sooo warm and cozy. Exactly what I need in that freezing Sweden :-)

Menswear and other things...

source: asos.com
So I don't know why, but recently I've really been into mensfashion! Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I am currently writing a business plan for swedish menswear brand 'Ljung' but ever since I've moved here I find myself looking at the mens section in stores and also online. For example, Tshirts are soooo incredibly much better in the men's department at H&M than in the women's department! Not only the quality of the garment but also fit and cut. And they are often also cheaper. So I really recommend to shop at the men's section at H&M if you find yourself looking for a simple shirt. But I also like ASOS's menswear, especially when it comes to sweaters. So yesterday I ordered from the ASOS online store. Inititally I wanted to buy a Filippa K bag from Nelly but for some reason it didn't work after several tries. And since ASOS not only has sale but also a 20% discount code...why not?! SoI bought this fierce Sweater together with a cool House of Harlow inspired necklace and cat eye shades. And altogether I paid 49€ plus free shipping. I think thats reasonable haha
Do you ever shop men's clothing? And if so, where do you buy it?
