The Biker in me...

So when I was younger I used to go on bike camps every summer and basically spent 2 weeks straight on my bike. I always loved the feeling of just getting on your bike and not really knowing where it takes you. So today I thought why not ceize the day - 34 degrees after all - and get on a bike and take a tour through the surrounding villages. Since I was a bit afraid of getting lost though I lured my brothers into accompanying me by promising them that we would stop at the first ice cream shop we come across. I just love this heat wave. And I love spending quality time with my siblings. They're just cute as buttons and I adore them to pieces. Tomorrow I'll take them to the nearest lake since it will be 37 degrees (outside the sun mind you!). Gosh summer truly is the best season after all!

Als ich noch kleiner war fuhr ich jedes Jahr auf ein Fahrrad Camp mit meinen Kusinen. Dort haben wir dann praktisch immer 2 Wochen auf unseren Fahrrädern verbracht und sind durchs Burgenland gefahren. Ich war immer fasziniert von dem Gefühl nicht eindeutig zu wissen wo man landet sobald man sich mal entschließt einfach drauf los zu fahren. Also ergriff ich heute bei 34 Grad im Schatten mal die Möglichkeit mich auf ein Rad zu schmeißen und benachbarte Dörfer abzufahren. Da ich aber dann doch Angst hatte irgendwie die Orientierung zu verlieren hab ich meine Brüder damit bestochen mich zu begleiten, indem ich versprochen habe beim erstbesten Eissalon stehen zu bleiben. Sommer ist halt wirklich die beste Jahreszeit und die Hitzewelle kommt mir genau recht. Morgen gehts dann mit den Kleinen zum See nachdem wir 37 Grad erwarten und man hier in Norddeutschland ja nie sicher sein kann wann die Hitze wieder vorüber ist! Zeit mit der Familie zu verbringen ist das Beste!

Knock Knock Summer Knock Knock Summer....

After a rather cold Sunday it seems the weather has rebounded and summer is finally on its way again. I kinda feel like I speak for entire middle Europe when I say: RAIN GO F*** URSELF! Anyways, today I woke up with a sore throat and fell into a slight panic given that I have this major interview coming up this week. But then I decided to kick those viruses butts and enjoy the sun and not let anything drag me down. After all I just finished an amazing year in Sweden, met some dope people there that I hope I can stay in touch with for the rest of my life, I finally have a (career) goal/direction in my life, I am about to see my best friends in the world soon, get to spend time with my precious family, I might not be rich but my experience in Sweden did not leave me broke and there is still so much amazingness to come...so absolutely no reason to let some minor thing steal my thunder...NO CAN DO!

Nachdems gestern eher kalt und bescheiden war wettertechnisch, scheinen wir uns heute gottseidank wieder auf Sommerkurs zu befinden! Ich denke ich spreche für ganz Mitteleuropa wenn ich sage: REGEN, VERPISS DICH! Wie auch immer, heute bin ich dann gleich mal mit starken Halsschmerzen aufgewacht und hatte einen leichten Panikanfall da ich ja in wenigen Tagen mein wichtiges Vorstellungsgespräch habe. Aber die Panik dauerte nur kurz und dann hab ich einfach beschlossen sämtlichen Bakterien ins Hinterteil zu treten und mich von so einer kleinen Lapalie nicht aus dem Konzept zu bringen lassen. Immerhin hab ich gerade ein fantastisches Jahr in Schweden hinter mir, habe richtig tolle Leute aus der ganzen Welt kennegelernt mit denen ich hoffentlich auch noch lange in Kontakt bleiben werde, ich habe endlich soetwas wie einen "Karriereplan" wo ich Textile Management studiere, bald sehe ich meine besten Freunde wieder, im Moment darf ich Zeit mit meiner liebevollen Familie verbringen, ich bin zwar nicht reich aber der Aufenthalt in Schweden hat mich auch nicht pleite gemacht und es sind noch so viele tolle, außergewöhnliche Sachen vor mir...also überhaupt kein Grund wegen ein wenig Halsschmerzen betrübt zu sein :-)

The cat's outta the bag!

Soooorry for my long absence! A lot has happened in those last 2 weeks. Exams. They went pretty well I'd say. I left Sweden and preliminary live with my family outside Hannover, Germany. The flood has hit Germany and Austria worst way possible. I have a big job interview next week...yikes, excitement! Oh, btw, my mom decided she wants to learn how to do hair extensions using the keratine bonding method and I more or less had to play her first test object and it all went horribly wrong! She bought way too thin and cheap hair and midway through stucking it on my head came to the conclusion that its not fitting for my huge amount of natural hair which is why - as of now - I have thin long hairstrands peeking through my own hair (10cm longer!!!!) which I constantly have to tuck underneath my real hair...talk about a bummer. I look absolutely ridiculous. In addition she also put them way to close to my roots which is why they stick through my real hair and are a pain in the ass to sleep on -.- Thanks a lot mom! One would think after 24 years of existence I finally get smart and not let my mum talk me into her crazy ideas...its not the first time shit like that happened. Anyways, I just pray the remover lotion arrives before wednesday when I leave for Vienna to attend my highly anticipated job interview. WISH ME LUCK GUYS!!!!

Sorry für meine lange Abwesenheit! In den letzten 2 Wochen hat sich einiges getan. Einige Prüfungen wurden beendet, wie ich denke doch einigermaßen gut (Daumendrücken!). Ich habe Schweden vorerst verlassen und lebe nun für 4 Wochen bei meiner Familie außerhalb Hannover. Zahlreiche Überschwemmungen haben Österreich und Deutschland sehr hart getroffen und man hört ständig neue schreckliche Meldungen. Nächste Woche habe ich dann ein ganz wichtiges, großen Interview für eine längerfristige Praktikumsstelle....Aufregung pur! Oh und so nebenbei habe ich mich als Versuchskaninchen für Haarverlängerungen hergegeben da meine Mutter lernen möchte wie sowas geht...und es ging bisher kräftig in die Hose. Unwissend wie meine Mutter ist und faul sich nützliches Wissen anzueignen, hat sie vollkommen falsche Haare für mich bestellt. Mitten im Verlängern kam sie dann zu der Erkenntnis das die bestellten Haare viel zu dünn und zu wenig sind und wir haben abgebrochen und jetzt habe ich lauter 10cm längere dünne Haarsträhnchen aus meinen echten Haaren hervorhängen. Das sind so bescheuert aus! Ich muss sie ständig mit Haarnadeln unter meine echten Haare klemmen. Zu allem Überfluss hat meine Mum die Bondings auch zu nah an der Haarwurzel angebracht weswegen die jetzt furchtbar wegstehen und beim schlafen richtig unangenehm sind...jaja, man sollte meinen nach fast 24 Jahren sollte ich gelernt haben mich nicht für die verrückten Ideen meine Mutter herzugeben aber irgendwie bin ich dann doch lernresisten und leicht zu begeistern hahha...wie auch immer, ich hoffe dass das Bonding Lösungsmittel noch vor Mittwoch ankommt da ich da dann für mein Vorstellungsgespräch wegfliege und ich keine Lust habe mit diesen katastrophalen Haaren zu erscheinen...WÜNSCHT MIR GLÜCK!!!

Bright Lights

What you see here is basically the only thing that I picked up in the battle of after xmas sales in Hanover. It was like a war zone! So many people, so rude, such immensly long queues....I just couldn't be bothered. No matter where I went, Primark, Zara (the worst!!), Mango, H&M...they all gave the same picture. Let's put it that way: there were absolutely no signs of an economic crisis going on. So what did I pick up? Most beauty stuff. I managed to spend 140€ on that. I bought some small presents for my roomies (hope they like!) and this dress from Gina Tricot. It was on sale for 10€ and I was drawn to it for the color. It's a neon green-ish yellow. They shoes are from Zara though I ordered them online like 2 weeks ago as I want to wear them for New Year's eve. Along I ordered a studded Jacket which you will see in upcoming outfit posts. I will also make a post about my beauty purchases as I think one or the other might be interesting for you guys and I also want to do reviews since I picked up new things as well.

Furlicious meets Stones!

Fellas...it is finally snowing again as you might be able to detect in these pics! I can't stress enough how annoyed I was when the weather all of a sudden decided to change from minus 2 to plus 9 degrees. I mean seriously, that is just crazy! And christmas is not the same without snow. At least in my book. So fingers crossed the snow lingers this time. After xmas I don't really care anymore and wouldn't mind temperatures close to 20 degrees haha Here you see my newest purchase apart from the clutch. The other day I was at primark and I ended up buying this Rolling Stones Sweater on Sale for just 5€!!! Can u believe that store?! Anyways, lucky me I say. I paired it with my favourite fake leather skirt from Forever 21. Not that I'd had many options, I basically arrived here without any clothes at all! So 2 more days until christmas. I hope all of u already did their shopping and can stay away from the madness that usually occurs during the last shopping day before the festivities!

Ho Ho Ho...there's too much snow!

Yaaaaayyyyy I finally made it to Tschööööööööööööööörmaniiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeee :-)
After one hell of a trip followed by cancellations, delays and ice cold weather and snow I am finally reunited with my babies aka my sisters and brothers. Gosh I missed them so much and they grow up so fast! It took me some time though to adjust to not being in Sweden anymore. A lot of things are different here....for starters: as soon as there is a bit of snow, its like the apocalypse coming! Germans in the north somehow never get it together in terms of transport. Roads are slippery, trains are delayed, tons of accidents (anyone still on summer tires on the highways?!). So right now I am trying to get as much rest as possible as I've been suffering from headaches the last days and still have a slight cold...and yes, I know taking pics outside without a big fat jacket might not be the smartest thing but I swear, I was only out for 2 minutes and thank god its not below 0 degrees here! I am in a christmas mood already, thanks to my mums xmas lights hanging in the house and in the garden. Unfortunately, her Santa-sleigh and Rudolph figures didn't make it this year as the lights seemed damaged....but thats only a minor mishap with my mum who covers the entire house in lights and christmas decorations haha And I love the smell of cookies and tea. Just last night me and my mom watched and old black and white Xmas movie with Barbara Stanwyck in the lead and drank Apple/Cinnamon tea while eating gingerbread. That's the spirit of christmas I tell ya. Forget about presents...its the food that makes it for me haha
